Well, this one is a bit of a cheating task because I was doing this before starting the 1001 days. But I still count it because I only started learning CSS when I decided I wanted to design this “101 in 1001″ site. The site design is not fully complete (do designers ever see their works as finished?) but I am quite proud of the work I did over the last week and a half, starting from initial sketch thru layout in Adobe to doing the stylesheet myself. I have learnt a lot of CSS, enough to design a site though I still have much to learn. It’s not perfect but it’s mine (and don’t ask me where the colour scheme came from - I don’t know).
