Ok, I think I am going to take a new approach on this one. We have been talking about a document management project at work and one of the things I noticed was that a different approach is needed to clear the existing backlog of paper than to deal with the ongoing conversion.

I think for my initial batch approach I am going to outsource the scanning. My scanner is way too slow, plus it’s a flatbed. I also don’t have time to do this in entirety. So my real task here will be to get the documents to a conversion centre, and then I will have the additional task of electronically filing everything afterwards.
