I finally took the leap on this one. Having seen this ad several times over the last year or so, I decided to sign up for a fiction writing workshop. It’s going to be running for ten weeks, so I guess that will take me to just before my birthday.

We had our first meeting today and it was pretty interesting. Outside the fiction discussions, one young lady remembered me from high school. The fiction part of it, well, I already have some insights into writing. Not that I love the idea of reading anything I write out loud to the group but I guess I will get over that.

I don’t know that I will be submitting stuff to the local newspaper. I haven’t really started thinking about that part yet. But I am looking forward to the rest of this workshop. I’m sure I will learn a whole lot and have some fun.
